Converting a Video File From One Format to Another With Media Converter

Select a File or Files

From the main Media Converter window, click Open

A File Open dialog will appear.  Browse to the folder containing the video(s) that you would like to convert.  Media Converter SA will allow you to convert more than one file at a time.  This is a huge plus.  To select multiple files, use your mouse to drag a window over the files you'd like to convert, or hold the CTRL key on the keyboard as you click each file you'd like to select.

Once you have selected the files, click the Open button in the File Open dialog window.  You will notice that the number of files selected has changed from 0 files selected to the number of files in your selection.

Choose Destination Folder

Next, you must choose a destination folder.  To do this click the Select a Folder button from the Media Converter main window.

A Browse for Folder dialog will open.  Select the folder you would like the converted files to go into.  If you would like to create a new folder, you can do that here as well.  Just be sure to browse to your newly-created folder.  Click Ok.

Select an Output Type

Finally, you need to tell Media Converter which file type you'd like your file(s) in.  Select the output type from the dropdown.

Convert!

Press the Convert button on the lower left of the Media Converter window. 

Media Converter will process your files.  As the conversion progresses, information about it will be updated in the Infos panel:

To stop the process, click the Abort button on the bottom left.  Once the conversion is complete you will be notified with this dialog:
