 Windows Live Photo Gallery - Locate and View Photos    

Now that you've imported, organized, and tagged your photos, you're going to want to know how to find them.  All of your work will pay off.  Here is a quick reference to finding your photos:

To:

Do this:
See all of your photos and videos In the navigation pane, click All photos and videos.
See a larger preview of a photo thumbnail Point to the photo's thumbnail image.
See a photo in a larger view Double-click the photo.
Return to the thumbnail view Click Back to gallery.
Filter your photos by tag In the navigation pane, under Tags, click a tag.
Search for a photo by file name or tag Select a folder, and then, in the Search the gallery box, type the first few letters of the file name or tag.
Search for a photo by file extension Select a folder, and then, in the Search the gallery box, type a file extension such as .jpg, .tif, or .wmv.
Find a photo by year, month, or date taken In the navigation pane, under Date taken, click a year to see all of the photos and videos taken during that year, and then select a month or date if required.
Zoom in to the Photo Gallery window or zoom out At the bottom of the window, click the zoom button Zoom in or out, and then move the slider.
Display or hide details about your photos and videos At the bottom of the Photo Gallery window, click the View details button View details or the View thumbnails button View thumbnails.
